My path to becoming a thought leader and inspiring educator for women became clear as a young girl listening to tapes of Napoleon Hill and Zig Ziglar with my parents in the RV on road trips and wondering where the women were who made a difference – and when I’d get to hear their tape.  To make my own difference I took to the radio airwaves with a message of prosperity and good fortune based on education and empowerment not intimidation and fear.

My radio shows, Femme Finance™ and Femmenation™ touch on the areas of life where we create prosperity from personal and business financial lessons to emotional, spiritual and relational ones as well.

What lights me up about serving and working with women is knowing that women are poised on the edge of economic greatness and to be part of that process for you as a woman business owner will be my great honor and joy!

What sets me apart from other business coaches is my entrepreneurial drive and experience as a business owner.  Business opportunities have been presented to me that I was not ready for – and I have made a mess of things – and in doing so I prepared myself for the greatest opportunity of my life.  I have known what it is like to go from solo-preneur to business owner with a team of 18 outside sales people, to making hard and necessary financial decisions that affected my life and the lives of my team during one of the most economically challenging times in our country’s history – to come out the other side – leaner, more profitable and more fulfilled than ever before – and I can show you how too.

You can feel confident engaging me to guide you to resolve the financial challenges in your business.  Over the years my financial expertise has been honored with remarkable and notable accolades including year over year revenue increases – acknowledged by industry experts, Woman of The Year in 2008 by Woodbury Financial Services for my commitment to the financial enrichment of women, the publication of my first book Incredible Life and millions of radio listeners who have tuned in to hear my practical approach to prosperity since 2009.

In addition to my own radio shows, my financial and life perspectives have been featured on The I’m Thankful Radio Network, Chat With Women Radio Network, MoneyWi$e Women Teleseminar Series, Billabong TV, Northwest Real Estate Forum, Forbes, Nuwire Investor, The Seattle Times and Woodbury Exchange, and I am the personal finance expert for WakeUp Girl Magazine.  Not to mention the countless organizations who have invited me to stand on their stage and share money messages with meaning – including eWomenNetwork, The National Association of Mortgage Professionals, Success Unplugged USA, MoneyWi$e Women Education Conferences, The City of Lynnwood, WA, and MamaCon.

Here are a few things about me and my experiences that might surprise and delight you – while serving our work together

  • I travelled and performed with a youth circus during my junior high and high school years and gained a tremendous appreciation for team work – and a true understanding that there is no thing as a solo act – we all need – to borrow a circus term – spotters.
  • As much as I attempted to avoid becoming a nurse or a teacher – as that’s what “women in my family did” – I realize that while I am not in medicine and don’t work with eager young learners – I am in fact both as I heal relationship with long term financial struggles and educate and enrich the lives of the women with whom I work.
  • When I stand in high places – roof top decks, the edge of a cliff – I get this feeling deep in my gut that has be feeling like I should launch myself and experience the sensation of falling – crazy ‘eh?  I have since learned that in fact this is a form of a fear of heights and in business it reminds me that our first impulse may not lead to the best end result.

If any of my story resonates with you as a business owner – being tired of faking it and not making it or you’re feeling like a circus performer that didn’t make it to the BIG show – either then or now – then send me a note – I’d love to schedule a complimentary 30 minute consultation – hear your story and see if what I do and what you are looking for could turn out to be the beginning of a ‘beautiful relationship’.

It would be my pleasure to guide you to achieve the results you desire and the life you imagine in business.

Give me a call, drop me an email, send a carrier pigeon … I will be waiting!

You’re Four Lattes Away from Staying Top-of-Mind with Your Customers. Seriously.

For a mere $15 a month, about the cost of four lattes, you could be reaching hundreds of current and potential clients with your message.

As company owners or managers, we’re always looking for cost-effective ways to grow our business and a simple tool that many businesses overlook is e-mail marketing. When done right, an email campaign can increase brand loyalty (meaning get your customers to appreciate you even more) and drive sales (i.e. pick up the phone and make an appointment). All this for a mere $15 a month, plus some of your time.

Tempt and Entice with Interesting and Valuable Content.
You probably get a lot of e-newsletters as it is now. Which ones grab your attention and do you open regularly? Most likely it’s the ones that:
Have great content of benefit to YOU, the reader
Look professional
Somehow saves you time or money

The key to a great email marketing campaign is to educate and reward the reader, but most all keep the focus on the customer. Ditch the big sales pitch and your readers/customers will love you all the more for it.

Becky Olson

Becky Olson feather boa

As a three-time breast cancer survivor, Becky took her situation and turned it into something positive. In 2000, she co-founded a non-profit called Breast Friends dedicated to helping women in their fight against breast cancer. Becky also wrote the book, “The Hat That Saved My Life,” a humorous and inspirational look at surviving breast cancer. (Now in its second printing).

Becky worked in Corporate America for most of her life. In 1996, at age 43 and at the peak of her career, Becky was diagnosed with advanced stage breast cancer. As often happens, her priorities began to change, but like many of us, she was afraid to leave the security of her job. She co-created Breast Friends and worked at it part-time while she hung in with her job.

She was diagnosed again in 2004. Finally, a year later, Becky left that high paying, but high stress job in yellow page advertising sales to pursue her career as a professional speaker. She now travels all over the country sharing her story about how she overcame the odds and stepped out to do what so many of us dream of doing “someday.”

Becky knows that things don’t happen “someday.” They happen Tuesday or they happen Saturday. But if we wait for someday, it will never happen. Her humorous yet encouraging message gets people motivated to step out of the boat, take a chance and do something they’ve always dreamed of doing.

After her first diagnosis in 1996, Becky developed her “list of things to do before she died.” Her second diagnosis in 2004 gave her list more urgency. In March of 2009, Becky was diagnosed yet again. Though her third battle with breast cancer, labelled as “Consistent with Metastatic Disease,” was devastating at the time, Becky continued to speak. She took time off from radiation to visit Ft. Wayne, Indiana to speak at a Susan G. Komen for the Cure luncheon.

After her third diagnosis, her list got “deeper.” She now focuses on her legacy and encourages her audiences to do the same. Becky believes that we have from this moment to…whenever… to continue to make a difference in people’s lives. No one knows how long we have on this earth, but whatever time we have left, we need to do our best to do what God has placed us here to do. For Becky, that means bringing hope to audiences.
Becky continues to encourage her audiences to look for the blessings in adversity, find happiness and share it with others. She also reminds us not to wait for “someday” to do what you love, and most importantly, she says, “DON’T FORGET TO LAUGH” – and they do.

Becky’s story has been written up in Woman’s World Magazine, numerous newspaper and magazine articles and Becky has appeared on Christian global television and radio. She has contributed to several books on breast cancer. She has received numerous awards including the 2009 National Pink Power Mom Award from Bright Starts, and the 2011 Bank of American Local Hero Award.

Becky lives in Portland, OR with her husband of 34 years, Bill. They have five grown children and four grandchildren.
